Vessel: Blue Smelt Quartz Tower
Merry, despite her name, is not exactly jolly in nature. She is a sweetly unassuming presence who is more than happy to be helpful, but has no concept of morality in which to frame her actions, so she will carry out tasks without any thought of consequence or how it might alarm you.
She is not a spirit, but has very strong ties to the spirit world, and will best suit a companion who is seeking to hone their skills as a medium who communes with the dead. Do not be alarmed to hear her singing, for while she bears similarities to a banshee, she is not a harbinger of the coming of death, but rather, a Chiron-like psychopomp who enables the forgotten dead to find their way to rest as she leads them to the underworld where they belong.
She is also deeply connected to Danu and can help a keeper who wishes to explore a connection with this deity. Should you choose to work with Merry, she will enable you to explore deity connections, a deeper understanding of the Tuatha Dé Danann, and awaken or strengthen your existing abilities to communicate with the dead.
Some of their abilities include: Divine/deity connection/protection (Danu). Protection, guidance, mediumship, necromancy, spiritual connection, communication with spirits of the deceased, past lives, clairvoyance, recognizing important signs/omens, connection with death energies, guided astral travel, guided divination, summon/direct/control other spirits, retention of knowledge, transformation, gathering and projecting energy, banishing entities with ill intentions, open/improve/strengthen/gift psychic senses, etc.
A message from M. to their future keeper: “I am considered a handful to work with. If you wish to speak with the restless dead and help them as I do, then this is a calling for you. This is not an easy path. It is hurtful to the empathic. It is a shame, because too few are willing to take the time to sit and listen to the tales they could not finish in life, and for some, that is all that is holding them back from knowing so much more and finding peace. If you wish to walk this road, it is a lonely one—but I will walk it with you.”
Note: All preconjures come bound to a vessel (which requires you ensure you give me the right mailing address during checkout). A complete companion write-up document will be sent as a PDF via email.
